then since 1863, the main building of this hotel at that time was used as a restaurant, convection company and C.A.W cavadino shop which in its day was very famous for immigrants who wanted to have the desire to enjoy chocolate, bread, Dutch cigars, Havana, Manila, Comestibles, and wine of the highest quality

Hotel Development
For nine years, the business is growing. in 1872 the cavadino restaurant changed to the Hotel Cavadino. Many Dutch and other Europeans settled in Batavia. Hotel Cavadino lasted until 1898, and since 1889 this hotel has changed its name to Hotel Du Lion D'or.
Then in 1941 the hotel changed its name again to Park Hotel. It was only around the mid-1950s that the hotel changed its name to Hotel Sriwijaya until now. At that time, the Sriwijaya Hotel was a two-star hotel and belonged to the Indonesian Air Force
1999
Modernization
The old building had to be changed in 1999, due to the weathered condition of the teak wood. Although most of the old buildings are no longer visible, traces of the hotel from the Dutch East Indies period are still preserved today, as evidence of the existence of the oldest hotel in Jakarta.
